Montana Raised. Built on Hard Work.
I’m Raymond Haberman, owner of Haberman Fence & Ag Services. I grew up in Montana around cattle and horses, where I learned early that a good fence serves a real purpose: protecting livestock, securing property, and giving people confidence in the work they depend on every day.
At a young age, I was taught the basics of fencing and a lesson that has stayed with me ever since. Do it right the first time. That meant taking the time to build a solid foundation, paying attention to the details, and understanding that the strength of a fence comes from the work put into every part of it.
I carried those lessons into several years working for a fencing contractor in Dillon. That hands-on experience strengthened my skills and deepened my respect for the trade. It taught me the value of careful preparation, consistent workmanship, and putting in the effort to finish a job properly, even when the terrain or conditions make it difficult.
After leaving Montana, I moved into underground utilities and spent five years as a gas foreman. Leading crews in demanding conditions expanded my equipment operating experience and taught me how to plan work, solve problems, and take responsibility for a project from start to finish.
My foreman role also involved working directly with customers, listening to their concerns, explaining the work, keeping them informed, and making sure they were satisfied with the outcome. That experience reinforced my belief that quality workmanship and good customer service go hand in hand. Strong leadership means setting the standard for both, following through on your commitments, and being willing to do the hard work yourself.
Eventually, I knew it was time to bring that experience home and build a business of my own. I started Haberman Fence & Ag Services with a clear purpose: to provide dependable service and quality fencing that I can proudly put my name behind.
Whether I’m building agricultural fence, residential fence, gates, or livestock enclosures, my approach stays the same: understand what the customer needs, choose the right approach for the property, and give the details the attention they deserve. I believe customers deserve honest communication, respect for their land, and a contractor who follows through from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
Montana is home, and I’m building this business with the same values I was raised on: work hard, keep your word, and take pride in what you leave behind.
